Focus Groups: Qualitative Public Opinion Research
Through the use of focus groups (Spanish or English), Velasco Outreach gathers in-depth, qualitative information on people’s attitudes, behavior, and opinions. The exploration can cover any topic.
By providing a dynamic, informal setting among a small group of participants, we uncover in-depth information that is difficult to collect using typical quantitative methods. Focus groups may be held before quantitative surveys to provide the basis for questionnaires, and they may also be used to interpret quantitative findings. They can also serve as a single investigative mechanism in cases where qualitative findings are adequate to address a research question.

Coaching
Communicating with Anglo audiences versus Latino audiences requires very different approaches. Velasco Outreach works with your executives and communications staff to hone styles of written and spoken communication. Coaching focuses on your particular needs: public speaking as well as approaches to public education materials, press releases, press conferences, PSAs, or op ed pieces targeting Latinos.
Translations and Interpretations
When you need to break the language barrier, Velasco Outreach offers English and Spanish translation and interpretation services. For translations, we work in universal Spanish understandable to members of diverse ethnic groups. We are proud to guarantee fast turn-around times. In the Denver/Boulder area, we also offer simultaneous interpretation.
